तो : काय चाललं आहे? whats new?
मी : movie पाहिला.
तो : कुठला?
मी : स्वदेस. पाहिला आहेस? काय मत?
तो : पाहिलाय कि. चांगला आहे. तुला कसा वाटला?
मी : मला आवडला. nice one. पण काय रे तुला त्या heroine चं character आवडलं कि hero चं?
तो : ofcourse heroine चं :D
मी : तसं नाही रे गाढवा, म्हणजे दोघंही काहितरी लोकोत्तर करत असतात. म्हणजे hero पल्याड सोडून इकडे येतो आणि काय-काय देशासाठी करायला लागतो. तर heroine has already been staying in the countryside and working with the kids. कोणाचा decision जास्त भारी वाटतो?
तो : तूच सांग.
मी : hero चा decision जास्त भारी वाटतो.
तो : का का? US वगैरे चं glamor तुलाही पडलंय का?
मी : US चं glamor नाही रे. But yes he is leaving nasa. हे भारी आहे. आधी nasa मधे असणंच खूप भारी, परत ते सोडणं हे अजुनच भारी. so हा factor आहेच. but there seems to be something else too…I am thinking about it
तो : hmm. मला सांग how does the heroine decide to teach in the school?
मी: तिच्या आई-वडीलांनी सुरु केलेली शाळा असते. her parents pass away in an accident. she has just completed college education, she decides to come back and run the school herself.
तो : did she have a good alternative for this?
मी : right, it was the obvious option made available by the circumstances.
तो : precisely. पण hero चं तसं नव्हतं. His decision is completely his choice. Circumstancial pressures don't play a role here. म्हणजे circumstances had given him a few options. He generated the new option of coming back and working for the country. आणि म्हणुन त्याचा decision त्याच्या thought process मधुनच निर्माण झाला आहे असं म्हणता येईल.
मी : हो असं म्हणता येईल.
तो : आणि म्हणुनच शेवटी गळ्यात गहीवर आणि डोळ्यात पाणी येऊन तुका म्हणे "hero चा decision जास्त भारी वाटतो. हरीssss विठ्ठल"
मी : hheehe. पण बुआ, भक्ताला एक शंका आहे ... जर heroineनी fight मारून आणि GRE वगैरे देऊन MS करायचे ठरवले असते तर ते भारी असले असते का?
तो : to some extent yes. to some extent कारण नुस्ता option निर्माण करणं हाच काही भारीपणा चा criterion नाही होउ शकत. याला एका sound value system चा support आणि maturity ही लागते. It would definitely have been interesting if the heroine did go for MS. पण तिचा या प्रुथ्वीतलावरचा performance impressive झाला असता जर MS करता करता तिला असं realize झालं असतं की she really wants to do something for her country. म्हणजे जर हा decision conscious thought मधुन आला असता तर.
मी : हो म्हणजे आता जेव्हा ती college नंतर लगेच शाळेत शिकवण्याचा decision घेते, she doesn't seem to have put heavy thought in it. It's the convenient choice and also a virtuous one at that.
तो : now you got it पण on a second thought त्याच्या decision मधे circumstances चा काहीच role नाही हे completely बरोबर नाही, heroine वाट बघते आहे, यापेक्शा जास्त critical circumstance कुठुन आणनार तु? :D
मी : हाड्तुड, कुत्र्याचे शेपुट वाकडे ते वाकडेच. :P
